Only 2 out of 10 sales agents hit targets on most ships.

And it’s not because the other 8 are lazy or unmotivated.

Here’s what I’ve seen over 20+ years in cruise and hospitality sales:

🚫 They’re not being trained for today’s customer.

🚫 They lack clarity on what “success” actually looks like.

🚫 The CRM is a tool they use after the guest walks away—not during.

🚫 Incentives are misaligned with the actual buying journey.

🚫 SOPs are outdated or non-existent.

When I led sales operations across global fleets, I noticed the same pattern:

Strong individual sellers succeed in spite of the system—not because of it.

The fix isn’t more pressure; it’s better structure.

Your team's success is your success — support, empower, and grow together.

Give your agents clarity; it helps them feel informed, not blindsided.

✅ Targeted training

✅ On-the-floor coaching

✅ Clear KPIs and dashboards

✅ Supporting assets based on agents’ needs, not standard assets

✅ Giving clarity to prevent agents from feeling blindsided

Creating a culture where sales agents feel like value creators—not just upsell machines.

If you’re leading a cruise or hospitality sales team where performance feels lopsided or unpredictable, let’s talk. I’ve helped brands like Silversea and Open Network Exchange (ONE) turn this around—quickly and sustainably.
